Since it was a total skunk, today, I couldn't post this under "Fishing Reports" I figured! But, after Eric's beautiful pictures on his, personal stomping grounds, thought I'd at least post the pictures of a great day on the water anyway.
The pictures are of a local coastal river, "The Kilches". It falls for only 14 miles, from a spring high in the Oregon Coast Range Mountains, before it empties into the Pacific. It's well known, (locally!), as "a great river for Sea Run Cutthroats, Rainbows and Steelhead".
Even though a day of "long line releases", it was great to be out after we got snow, only the day before!

"Working pocket water"

Known locally, as "The Hole", one of the better Steelhead and Sea Run lies..

If you look, closely, the size of this pool can be seen by locating me, to the left of the picture, as the river bends 90 degrees before forming this pool,
