Sorry I did not read your link info.
A few years back at the ISE show in San Mateo I watched Lefty struggle to step off the casting platform and thought to myself, that is an accident waiting to happen. Those platforms should have an intermediate step between the platform and the floor. It is unfortunate he got injured and I wish Lefty a successful surgery and recovery.
