    Default Rubber Legs

In my fishing experiences (mainly warm water) I find that rubber legs on anything gets more strikes. I have just bought some large orange stimulators with rubber legs. I hardly ever fish a wooly bogger that does not have rubber legs. I have often wondered if a clouser with rubber legs would make them even better. I know that the clouser is suspost to look like a bait fish but ..... think of the possibilities.

It sounds weird but it is intriguing and I think I'll give it a try. Clousers are one of my favorite smallmouth flies and I have also had great success using them on largemouth, pike and walleye. Legs might just add to the pattern.

If you tie some with rubber legs keep track of how you do and we'll compare notes later in the season.

    Default Rubber legs

Hey JL - Green Lantern was my favorite.

Here are some "crawfish" patterns that look a lot like a clouser with legs.
Some, like Whits use them only as feelers. Go for it!

About 3 years ago I began putting rubber legs on my hare's ear nymphs. I use either white or black and white barred legs. It seemed to increase my strikes a bit when nymphing. It's my go to nymph pattern now when I use a hare's ear.

Suddenly I have an urge to add a couple of pairs of rubber legs to my next Parachute Adams flies.
