    Default Tiger Muskie Fly

What do you think folks? I tied it for 30-40" Tiger Muskies. Most of them are from 4 to 6 inches long.

If there be perch in that lake, that should work good. An old game warden told me when you see them tiger musky cruising the surface, they're on the hunt. Good luck.

Really looks great Lotech. Just by chance, are those 3604B O' Shaughnessy hooks?

Nope. They're #2 Gamakatsu Sywash hooks. You need to close the eyes with smooth jaw pliers.

Nice tie. I like the color combination. Mine tend more toward Fire Tiger. It should definitely work, even if there are no perch in the lake. One suggestion next time you tie one up try using clear mono thread and see if you like the results.
Another suggestion. If you're going to continue tying large flies, especially if you go up to the 8-10 inch range, you might consider setting up your Danvise so the jaws are straight out rather than sitting at an angle. This fly's about 11 inches long.

    Here's the recipe.
#2 Gamakatzu Sywash Hook (you will need to close the eye with pliers)
    6/0 Uni Thread, Olive
Olive, Yellow & Burnt Orange Streamer Hair (blended with a toothbrush)
Self Adhesive Red Eyes (I also use a small dab of hobby cement)
Par marks were made with a green Marks-A-Lot.

It's an easy recipe (or I probably wouldn't tie it) but very messy to clean up.
