I recently started a new job at the University of Kansas which entails a daily commute to Lawrence. Little did I know that in addition to running into nationally recognized athletes, scholars, and authors I would also have a brief but most inspiring sighting on one of FAOL's celebrity authors---the Lochsa River diver--at least I think it was him--he was dry and not in his waders. I was so flustered I didn't take time to stop in middle of traffic at 23rd and Haskell and get out and introduce myself. I'm sure that all here will want to be on the look out any time they happen through the River city for the "River Rat" in his tan Toyota with extra wide Yakima racks--a vision that I have tried to recreate on my own Tacoma. I can only hope that my brief, unobserved sighting will result in my fishing luck becoming more "Reliable"......
