Which Scott G series rod is the sweetest in your opinion and why? Thanks and best regards.

The 8'8" 5wt and 4wt are pretty nice rods. A buddy of mine swears by them. I have also tried the 7'7" 4wt, thats a real gem too! Great rods! Its a shame they are being discontinued, but the prices should come down now.

I think that they are all great rods. I have a 9' 5wt. and an 8' 2wt. I plan to get a 9' 4wt and 9'6wt this year before they change over. I think they are all made so good, it is hard to say which one is the cream of the crop. It would depend on what you fish the most. I would say my favorite rod is the 2wt. SO, SO fine. It is very important that you put on the right size reel on these rods to properly balance them. Once that happens in my opionion, they ARE the cream of the fly rod crop.

You ain't never gonna yank my 6' 10" 3 wt. from me! It's kind of specialized but when it's needed... ooooh boy!
Whether it's the cream of the crop I don't quite know as only other 'G' I've used is the 8' 4 wt. (too close in size and action to the TMF to keep and stay wed!)
