I normally listen to something soothing and recently, while studying my lineage, found this from Rita Coolidge of Walela:

Cherokee Morning Song
Wi Na De Ya Ho Wi Na De Ya
Wi Na De Ya
Ho Ho Ho Ho
He Ya Ho
I am of the Great Spirit, It is so I am of the Great Spirit
I am of the Great Spirit
It is so

I have loved her music all of my life but had no idea we were both Cherokee. Here is some more music of Rita's that i listen to on the way to the water and while tying:

and of course "Your Love is Lifting Me Higher" and "The Things You Do" are favorites too. I used to be a very serious metal head but, to me, fly fishing is about getting in touch with nature and my inner self. It is all about being calm and relaxed, a tranquil heart and soul. Nowhere do I feel more in touch with creation and my place in it than when I am on the water or in the woods. I find this music enhances that feeling.

So, what do you listen to on the way to the stream?
