Yes, ........... Yes I did. I miss it too! Many other fly fishers are in the same boat we are. We do have some fly fishing supplies in Fort Wayne. Rick, The other fellow that was in the store most of the time went to another bait store and set up a small fly shop.
I will put the last coat of varnish on the rod today and will probably take some pictures on Wednesday. Why don't you come up to Fort Wayne for the Three Rivers Fly Fishers meeting on Thursday and see it in the flesh.

I am not much of a photographer so please forgive the poor quality of the pictures. There are links at the bottom of the page to get you to the latest rod made by me.
Thank you for the interest.

Got out and made some cast with the new rod this afternoon. WOW! I didn't have an 8 weight line so I tried it with a 9 weight DT. It started getting a little soft at about 80 feet. I an happy with the results and can't wait to get it on the steelhead rivers this spring. I may just have to make an early trip over to Ohio since the St. Joe in Indiana is blown out.
Being a two handed rod, It is very easy to cast given size of the rod. It is hollow built and light enough to cast single handed. Maby I should call it an "old fashoned switch rod."
One very happy fishbum,
