Woah.

First of all, only portions of southeast Minesota were hammered by the August floods. Three streams come to mind that were decimated terribly. It's not like it was a total loss. If anything, it cleaned out a majority of the streams and made fishing exponetially better for the last month of the season, including some very solid BWO action.

The H.I. projects held wonderfully, with the exception of losing a few erosion blankets here and there. The older HI from quite a few years back was ripped up in places, but then again, it wasn't exactly new stuff to begin with. There's no question that HI helped save several streams from being a complete blowout.

The roads into Whitewater Valley opened just in time for the shotgun season for deer and plans are already in the works to have the park open soon. Private campgrounds will be operational this spring and ready to roll as well.
