Default Beginner instruction in New Hampshire??

    Hi all,

although I live out in Borneo I'm going to be in the US for a couple of weeks soon. I won't have much free time, but I should have a day or two in New Hampshire, near Concord and Gilford. I'd like to try and find someone who can give a rank beginner some basic tuition, preferably on streams rather than lakes.

I would plan to bring my travel rod/reel etc that I bought after advice from the forum here.

Any suggestions on places/people to contact for this would be much appreciated.

    thanks,

    Justin.

    Justin,

What days are you going to be in the area? Do you have your own waders? Have you done any casting? This info will help people get a better idea on what they would need to bring to take you fishing.

    Regards,

    Alberto

Head to Orvis in Manchester, VT. Not too far, and a nice drive.
The man who coined the phrase "Money can't buy happiness", never bought himself a good fly rod!

    Justin,

Go to the link provided below.
It is a listing of individuals who have taken time to demonstrate thier commitment to instructing.
This page is a sample of those who live in NH.
It is a good place to start your search.
If you have any questions about the program, just go to the FFF homepage or give me an e mail and I would be happy to help in any way I can.

    Thanks for the replies.

Alberto: I don't have waders, and only have a small amount of casting practice. I'm pretty much a rank beginner. I'll be in the area on Mon/Tues 22/23 August.

Ray, I'll look into Orvis, although it's a little out of my way, as I'll be in concord on Monday night and driving down towards new york on the Tuesday afternoon.

Michael: thanks for that link, I see there's an instructor in Laconia, which is about 10 miles from where I'll be staying over the weekend.

    My regards to you all.

    Justin.
