need advice

I alreday repaired the splits on the Monty, and still have to wrap one split/nick with white sylk. (pictures will come soon). I still have a couple of basic questions ....
My question #1 is do you varnish before wraping the guides or after wraping and epoxing them?
The question #2; what do I do with the pushed pins in the ferrules (that I removed)? Do I let them there or is there a way to remove the pins out of the bamboo?
And question #3; is epoxy any good for gluing the ferrules (I checked that this epoxy will fail at 265 F).
Question #4 Where can I get white sylk to wrap the split?

I varnish after doing the wraps.

You can remove the pin and reuse it by using a pair of flush cutting diagonal cutting pliers and carefully pulling the pin.

3.
Epoxy is the worst adhesive for ferrules. Use Pliobond.

4.
Most suppliers of rod building supplies carries silk thread.
