This year I would like to actually target tiger muskies if my schedule permits. I now have a good rod for them, st. croix 10 wt. Orignally, I wanted to try for pike, but where I live there isn't too many of them, so I'll try tiger muskies. Pa fish commission stocks them all over the lake where I live in PA. My question is how close are they to Northern Pike, as far as their habits, feeding, breeding, etc. I do know true muskies don't feed as much as pike and muskies like warmer water were as pike dislike warm water. I think they are hybrid of muskie male and pike female. Do they spawn around the same time as pike? The flies are probably the same.

I have the book pike on the fly, this is why I'm asking these questions.
Thanks
