A local supplier just told me prices of Mylar and things like Krystal Flash are supposed to take quite a price hike. Has anyone else heard any thing about this?

Not heard about it yet...But.....Everything else is taking a price hike I'm not surprised that mylar and stuff would to.

well i always get my mylar tubing from joan fabrics, and you can get flashy material by just cutting off a section of mylar, and than pulling the individual strands out. its a heck of a lot cheaper
Considering mylar, crystal flash, etc, are petroleum based products it only makes sense with the current oil barrel prices, that there's going to be an increase soon!?!

flybinder, you're right. I didn't associate the petroleum base. I guess this goes along with my squirrel tails.

The price of raw materials never goes down, it seems. And as oil prices rise, the price of anything made with petroleum or via a petroleum product(basically anything, including food) will go up. AND the price of shipping that product to you will also increase. $3.50 diesel...
