Furling, other thoughts

Hi,

Looks like I tarried too long and lost the other thread, so I'll start another.

For the person who wondered what the spey formula might be, this is just the one I've used a few times. I'm told it works well, through I'm not a spey caster.

I use a 12' board to make a 10' 9" leader. The thread taper is 34-28-22-18-14. This translates to three loops in each leg of 17 threads, then 11, then 7. I use 6/0 thread.

Kathy,
I know that you give furling demonstrations at shows around and about. I have a question for ya. Do you travel to the shows by air, or by vehicle? If by air, do you have fold-up boards, or will they accomodate longer boards? Check your PM.
