    Default need new unique patterns

    i need some new flies to tie for summer. mainly for LMB and gills. any suggestions

    Not much "new" here but these work for us while chasing LM's on the surface. We are working up a "how to" sheet on the "simple frog" for a class we are doing. A before and after the fish get to'em shot.

    Shasta, yes, about once a year in the early spring. We usually toss minnow or shad immi's for spots. Usually sub-surface then.

    Try the Cat's Whisker. Fairly easy tie and quite a productive pattern.

    I noticed a fly recentlyat Bass Pro and Cabelas called the Bass Slider. Kind of looks like a Jigand Pig.

    Get the latest issue of Fly Tyer magazine if you havn't already...Some great looking Jig flies in there! Also, Many old style classic streamers work great..Bass havn't seen them for a while so when you use them its almost like showing them something new...Ha ha
