I just got back from Big Timber. The Boulder river is in excellent shape. Everything said previously is true. The lower section is mainly rainbows, then it moves to cutbows and then finally cuts. The hot clear weather made the fishing on the lower river tough but the upper section still fished great. PMD's were hatching when the clouds moved in. Several golden stones about also. A yellow stimulator whacked them. There is quite a bit of private land, still tons of access though. There were quite a few people in the campgrounds but still looked like like plenty of room. Don't be afraid to fish the picnic areas and campgrounds either. The river has plenty of fish in it. Stop by Sweetcast Angler in Big Timber for info. They are great people. The Prime Rib at City Club Lanes is still killer. The Grand Hotel also puts on a pretty good spread. There is a little restaurant a couple doors down that that has great flame grilled burgers. The Fort, a C-store on the edge of town can handle about any other needs you may have. If you need more specific info shoot me an email. I will put a link to my photobucket acount most of the fish were caught last week on the Boulder, except for the big rainbow and the catfish.
