On another thread, Marco posts a photo of my second favorite kind of bear. That is: the across the river, through the meadow, running away bear.

Honey and I saw a similar kind of bear last year in the Crowsnest Pass. After Honey went into the shrubbery, a teenaged nuisance bear sprinted out the other side, crossed the stream and was halfway across the meadow when my husband came back out again.

My first favorite, as I've said before, is the across the river, across the field, beyond the fence, while I'm in the car going the other way bear. Truly an excellent bear.

The woods have eyes and thankfully, they often don't like what they see.
