    Default First for me

Fished the local steam plant today, with my new TFO TICR 7wt fly rod. Caught fish like you dream about, or at least like I do. Caught small striper, a ton of white bass (stripe), LM bass, crappie and A first for me 2 sauger. They weren't very big 13-14 inches but a first for me. Love the new rod, might be my new favorite. Going after some bigger sriper and hybrid in the morning. Hope everyone is getting out and catching them too.
    Take care,
    Gary

ps, Thanks for the great deal on the rod Henry.

That's what I like about warmwater outlets this time of year. You never know what's going to hit your fly because everything in the river/lake is congregated right there. By the way, what kind of fly were you tossing?
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.

I have also been catching a few sauger while striper fishing here in the Arkansas River. They fight pretty good for their size.
