    Default Recommended Reading (small streams)

I was hoping you fine folks could recommend some good books on fishing small streams. When I say small I mean streams that are betwwen 4-10 feet wide. Thank you for your help ahead of time.

Dave Hughes has an excellent book, "Trout from Small Streams" by Stackpole Books, I can recommend it.

I have read both Hughes' book and Gierach's book on small streams and found them both extremely helpful for the small streams I fish in the Sierra.

    az, RW here,

I'm a dedicated small stream fisherman. I'd go with Donald's recomendation of Dave Hughe's book. There is stuff about small streams in many other books,a chapter here, chapter there.... but the Hughe's book is entirely small streams. Probably what you are looking for, and of course, it's fairly recent so it's still in print.

    Later, RW

I found Charles Meck's book "Fishing Small Streams With A Fly Rod" to be quite useful.
    Good Luck.

More literary than technical, Ted Leeson's, Jerusalem Creek is an excellent read.
