Try the Redingtons - they fit me well, but I'm a bit on the chubby side. At least the feet fit without having to double them over in your boot. I've worn them a season without any problems.

Hodgman'sall the way. as a 5'5" size M female i am thrilled with the fit, the function, the service, the quality and the price. the feet especially are small enough--that's always my quarrel with men's waders. they offer more layers of toughness for the price than any of the others i've tried.
fly fishing and baseball share a totally deceptive simplicity; that's why they can both be lifelong pursuits.

    Hi,

I'm not terribley fussy, but I finally went on a quest for a moderately good fit, just to see if it could happen for me.

I tried Simms, but I'm too short - same with LL Bean womens waders. Patagonia came the closest, and Hodgman was the only place for waist-highs. The length of the foot was a problem, too; I didn't want to bunch up neopreme in the toe of my boot or have a heel half way up my ankle, sigh.

All in all, everyone tried hard to be helpful, and I'm happy (enough) with the outcome.

Field and Stream did an article on womens waders two or three months ago. I'm sure you'd be able to look online in their archives for the article. They tested and rated several different manufacturers products.

    Good luck on your search.

    OH man. Good luck.

YOu buy them too big and she will say "Do you really think I'm THAT fat!
If you buy them too small she will say "So you're telling me I need to lose weight!"

No win situation. Have HER pick them out

I have three girls and my wife covered well with Redingtons myself.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.

The fit on women's wader seem to jump from something that would fit a thin teenager up to something that looks like it would fit a small giant. Does anyone make a wader that fits any average sized female at a reasonable price? We?ve already been to Cabela?s and that?s when I found out that this wasn?t going to be easy to find. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks,

I am not a woman but there are bare waders for woman (www.bare-wetsuits.com). THey have the *BEST* custom fit program in the business. Simms idea of a custom fit program is to charge you $75 more if you need a bigger size and $50 more if you need a different foot size. Well with Bare they have you measure all the pertinent parts and specifically fit the wader to YOUR dimensions.

Try a search for Flygirl waders by Wright & McGill. A very nice wader that fit my wife very well and very reasonbly priced for what you get.
