What does 'bump' mean on the for sale list

Lots of time I see someone will just say 'bump' after a listing on the for sale list. Can someone tell me what it means?

The in this case seller is moving the thread back to the top of the forum list so people will notice it when they go to the "for sale" section. You must reply to a thread to move it up...thus to make a reply without actually meaning anything they just type "bump" the in reply body moving it to the top of the forum.
