Years ago when my Son was five he asked who that man really was that came to his school
claiming to be Santa.
He started to recognize that Santa looked a lot like our good friend
big John, So I told him?

Shortly afterword he asked me to write a story about my explanation and so a family tradition began.
Now, we share it.. Spreading Christmas Cheer.

Every year we are fortunate to help setup our town?s annual Christmas
tree lighting event.

Michael and I call the fun adventure;

For all the worlds children, all those special girls and boys.

Santa's Secret

At the North Pole in a meadow, at a cabin near snowed trees

Lives a giant jolly fellow with his his wife he loves to please

Of course his name is Santa, and his wife yes, Misses Claus

the two of them so giving, spreading kindness just because

Now these folks are very Merry, busy making Christmas toys

for all the Worlds children, all those special girls and boys.

-Santa says to Misses Claus;

It's getting close to Christmas eve , and I?ve yet to make my rounds

for I must acquire the wishes, of the children in all the towns...

-Misses Claus replies;

Santa don't you worry, for there lives a man so kind,

able to befriend, during every Christmas time.

And so the story goes, Santa instilled his magic joy

within this gentleman to share with all the girls and boys

Much time has passed since this was done and each and every year

he dresses up in Santa's suit , spreading Christmas cheer

Children sit upon his lap, to tell him they've been good

then they share with him a wish, " Oh! Santa if you could "

With kindness from his gentle heart, he makes it very clear

feelings of joy at Christmas time, spreads love throughout the year

he sends their wish to North Pole to board a magic sleigh

with Santa Claus on Christmas eve and eight rain deers away!!

We know this man as Big John, Son, but every Christmas time,

he becomes Santa's secret, now too it's yours and mine...
