    Hi Betty !!
How did your partner do ? Far as I know he fishes for a living, not for fun. I hope you got to watch him at it. When I was in college, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, I used to watch them on Klamath Lake for hours.
Fine fishermen, and not baitslingers either.......
And how did you do, I might ask................ModocDan

    Betty,
He looks like a pretty serious fisherman to me. I bet he (or she???) made it look easy.

    Betty,

I hope your husband is not the jealous type.

Nothing better than being in the great outdoors. I hope you had a great time.

Being from Kansas, I don't have the opportunity to see such marvelous birds on a regular basis. I am in total ah of them. A good number of them roost in Southern Missouri each winter, and are frequent visitors to the river. I could sit for hours and watch them soar above the tree tops, or swoop down and most handily pluck a rainbow from the waters. Never seems to fail that when I'm looking at them with binoculars, their eyes are fixed right on me. And it still amazes me that for such a huge, powerful bird, their song is very soft, sweet and melodious.

They are beautiful birds indeed! We have a nesting couple just south of our house here along the Susquehanna River. Glad they put on a good show for you, Betty.

Very nice pic, Betty! They are so awesome to see. We've been experiencing a resurgence of them, in NY, and it's awesome to see how well they've done. In years past, you'd be extremely lucky to see one, now they've become a bit more common.

I saw a Golden Eagle, down in PA several years ago, which was also an amazing site. I really need a camera.

    Betty,
Thanks for the picture. I have yet to see a bald eagle in the wild, & pray that I have my camera with me when I do. They are just such a majestic bird.

    Nice shot Betty,
Every year around Jan 1, the Bald Eagles congregate around Lake Couer d' Alene ( core-duh-lane )in northern Idaho. You can see hundreds of them taking kokanee off the surface of the lake while they're on the wing. I guess that qualifies them a dry fly fishers. It's a great sight to watch.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
