I was in my favorite old time fly shop last week and picked up some NOS bamboo rod tips. I grabbed 4 2 36" and 2 34" they measured between .155 and .190 at the butt and 4.5-5/64 at the tops
The guy at the shop thinks he has about 10 more in the back and is willing to sell them for $20 each. If not they get turned into ice fishing rods.

Story is that he bought them form a lady who worked for either Heddon or South Bend(he couldn't remember) and she grabbed them before the plant closed. The sections do have a nice flamed color to then simular to a Heddon

I'm not in this for a profit I just thought that someone could use them before they hit the ice.

I'm calling the guy today to see what's left. If anyone is interested let me know.
