I finally got around to getting some of these up in a format I could brag about. In September I was lucky enough to get to spent 25+ days fishing for the FWS as a hired gun in the ANWR on the Hulahula river. These are some of the better pictures of that trip and some of the over 400 Dolly Varden that we caught and sampled for genetics (DNA-fin clips, C&R) and otoliths (20, for inner ear bones to determine age & spawning cycles)

I need to mention that 10 years ago, when I was this far north we encountered permafrost at 12''... This trip (september '07) there was none at 48". Big changes going on up here! John Franklin's dream came true in '07 - You could paddle a canoe around the entire top of the world, from Kaktovic east all around Greenland, Russia, Siberia, Alaska and back to Kaktovic and never encounter ice.
