The w/e started with a snoop to a pond near to Susan's abode on Sat
evening. Several NICE fish were observed cruising near shore,
searching. Permission was procurred as necessary by Susan and the pond
recieved a visit on Sun PM for a couple hours. 6-10 LM's were pestered
on top-water stuff. The bigger fish coming to frogs.
On Monday we followed Judy to a pond local to here (Petaluma) where
we tried pestering some more fish. No success for 2 hours casting. This
caused quandry. Was the water that much colder here than in Calistoga?
Were the fish dour due to drastic draw-down at the local pond?
Seemed another "fact-finding" excursion was in order so a driver
and I went to another local pond NOT affected by draw-down at this
time. Viola! Success was again to be ours as again 6-10 fish were
pestered with frogs for about 1 1/2 hrs casting. The bigger fish today
came to baitfish immi's on top.
Seems to be winding down though, as things DID seem slower. Losing
a couple more degrees water temp will probably send us after new
targets, for sure.

Been gone awhile but you all have surely been in our thoughts.
As JC writes, the #'s are not for a guage of "success" but as a guage of action. Success was realized by spending time with the people we did and where we did.
HEY RICK! GRAND to see you posting quotes again!
