    WOW
That is sad I had no idea, I will always use my cotton bags now .

Hay maybe that is what we can do with all the big ocean trawlers get them to clean this up some how.

When I was posted to Germany in the 80/90's we had to use boxes and you could remove the outer packaging right there at the store..

Finally something from Greenpiece that does not make me want to puke, (not fond of them)
As in the Army, I have never had a bad day Fly fishing, some damn uncomfortable days but never a bad one!
Everyone must believe in something and I believe in Fly Fishing and Fly Tying and believe I will

When I left California in 1975 it was one of the filthiest cities I had ever lived in. From the freeways, the beaches, the city streets, etc... It seemed everyone there had this concept that everything was disposable(even the people) and it showed everywhere you went. I moved to Colorado and noticed a big change but when an old army buddy and I started comparing notes, it was clear how Hawaii was the cleanest. So I'm not surprised to hear this about Kalipornia and the great Pacific, dude, it's trashed! Everywhere I've lived in since Colorado has had a recycling policy. Since I've moved to MS, I again see the same issues Kalipornia had. Trash everywhere and no attempts at recycling. You got trash, just throw it in the back of your PU truck and when you get to where you was going it'll be gone. I once followed a truck that threw 2 water bottles out his window with a state trooper following him and nothing happened. Someone elses problem...

Thor Heyerdahl has raised these concerns for decades now .. you can read his first hand sightings in his books Kon Tiki and Ra II they are indeed eye opnerers on the pollution in our oceans .
