I lived in Ingleside for 11 years and loved fishing the bays there and Reds were my main target most of the time. There is nothing better than catching Reds in shallow water. Wish I Had been into fly fishing back then, but I still had a great time fishing with spinning gear on 10# line. 10# line is a bit small since they can cut it so easy, but I had many great days and caught a load of Reds fishing jigs with red shrimp tails and spoons.

One of my best days was with a friend there and we had 9 Reds with the smallest at 26 3/4". I was lucky enough to have a great day and caught 5 of them and it was just as much fun on the others that cut my line and that was at least 5 more like the ones we kept that day.

That is a monster you are holding and i guess maybe I should learn how to tie your fly, LOL!

I live on Toledo Bend now, but was born and raised in Orange Texas so I am very familiar with LA. and their great our door fishing & hunting!
