About 18 months ago I acquired some gummy, ancient silk lines. Most were dry rotted, but one was sound and I stripped the gunk off it with, as somebody suggested, baking soda. Last night, I finally got around to the next step, soaking it in Formby's Tung Oil. When I took it out of the tung oil, I ran it thru a cotton cloth as I did so to sop up the excess. Now, I'm stumped. Am I supposed to dunk it in tung oil several times? Polish what I've got or simply apply Mucilin when I'm ready to use it?

Thanks for any info.
