DENNIS
To all Florida FAOLers, Please take care of your selves and keep us informed as to your health as you are able! This storm looks rather nasty and you are in our prayers.

Thanks for your concern!! We know that you mean us here in Alabama also.
FYI - I65 from Mobile to Montgomery will be all lanes north only starting tomorrow morning!!! You will not be able to travel south on the interstate in Alabama!!

Best of luck to all the FAOLers affected by
Dennis. On the positive side it's down to a
category 2 storm with 100 mph winds after a
slowdown over Cuba. Lots better than the
category 4 storm with 150 mph winds as it
was yesterday. But Gaston, the minimal
hurricane that got us here in SC last year
had me running a chainsaw for two solid
weeks. Captain Paul, looks like Dennis may
have you in his crosshairs. Good luck and
do be careful. Warm regards, Jim

Indeed,
To all of you down there, ... batten down the hatches and hold on tight.
Stay safe (please).

Okay, folks, just to get it straight, I am still in California, and I have not laid waste to (or "lashed", as has been reported Cuba, Haiti, and some outlying islands and am not about to inundate my sister's house in Biloxi. Honest. It is some OTHER Dennis.

As you can see, while I am becoming round with time, I am still too small to be seen on NOAA satellites.
The only way you could blame me for this is if I had a camping trip planned for the Gulf coast, and I do not. I plan to sleep in my own bed for the next several nights. However, if you need rain, I can be contracted to camp near you for a nominal fee plus gas $.
