Donald: That sounds like like a cool pattern...looking forward to seeing it.

I will start tying my x-caddis this weekend. Have another swap that takes prioroty since the due date is a bit sooner. It's a MT pattern by Craig Matthews at Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone and one of my favorite patterns to tie and fish. I figure by the time I hit the magic number for the swap, I will have perfected it LOL. My version is as follows:

Hook: Dai RIki 320 size 14
Thread:Uni 6/0 Fire Orange
Body: Peacock Herl (since I love fishing the Mothers Day Caddis hatch)
Shuck: Olive Z-Lon
Wing: Bleached Elk Hair

Now if I was just fortunate to hit the hatch since more than likely I will be at the CWFI in Ephrata WA when the hatch happens LOL. Ah well...the pattern still works good from May until September here .

I am really looking forward to seeing what other flies people tie for this swap
