How do you post pictures???

I'm fairly computer literate, but can't figure out how to post photos. Can someone help?

You will need the image hosted where it is available as a url.... the following link is a free image host and works alright..

http://www.imageshack.us/

then just use the image bb tags, two ways to use .... simply click the button for insert image or use {img} your image url here {/img} replace the { } with [ ] either method accomplishes the same end, and you will need to enter the hosted image url to the bb code tags..




Method 2 is slightly different for this forum software, the image button is marked "Img"

You know how to post pics now? I tried but ran into a show stopper. I now have an account set up with photobucket....with an album....with one picture in it I do not know how to uploade it to FAOL.

A'm stuck for now.

Jim....under your picture there are url's...the one that starts & ends with "img" can be copied then pasted into your FAOL post..that will show the picture....and there's one that just posts the link so we click to get the picture...your choice..

On your Photobucket page, copy the link (highlight it and hit the Control and "c" buttons at the same time), then on your post when you hit the "IMG" button just put the cursor between the two [img]'s ([img]cursor goes here[/img]) and paste the link (Ctrl and "V"). That's all there is to it.

HA! Look at this!! He starts out asking how to post the pictures, and in short order is explaining it to someone else!!! Is this a great site or what!!

Now, if someone can teach me how to get the "click to enlarge" feature that BBW used, I'll be a happy little clam! (no ... I know how to click on THAT image to make it bigger, how do you apply it to one of your postable pictures!?!?)
