    Default Fly Tyong DVD

    Been lurking for a long time. My first post.

    Given a Fly Tying DVD for my birthday. In it the tyer ties ALL his wrapping and flyies under the shank and over the top.
    I have not seen this before, not in all the Books, Magazines, Internet sites, or DVD and tapes I have seen.
    Anyone seen this before?

    I see that a lot with tiers who tie flies for show or competitions. If you're dressing a fly "properly"?? Thats the way it's done. I tie fishing flies so I really can't be bothered but when I do tie a fly for a shadow box or gift, I do it for those. Have you seen them flattening thread?
