1 mm Foam

Does anyone have a source of 1mm foam besides the fly shops?...Or 0.5 mm.... I don't seem to find it in the craft stores and thought it would have appeared there by now.

I don't have the answer but I LOVE the question. I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday and was checking foam. They had 2mm and 3mm for .79 and .99 cents for a 14 x 17 sheet and I kept thinking it sure would be nice if I could find some 1 mm. So, sorry I don't have a source but I'm going to tag along and hope someone can enlighten both of us.

You can get 0.5mm, 12"x18" foam sheets on ebay. 4 foam sheets in olive, white, black and tan for $3.30 total.
Search for : 4 pieces 0.5mm foam sheets for fish fly tying or craft. The sellers name is owlonbeulah. I have bought a good amount of foam from her in various sizes and have had no problems with the service. She also has olive 2mm, 12"x18" foam sheets but you will have to ask her for this color because she does not have it listed.

I picked up a small package of 1.5mm at the Dollar General store yesterday for $1. Three colors in the pkg. (white,red & green). 40-4X6 sheets. Seemed perty good for abuck.

Found some at a AC Moore craft store, if by chance you have one in your area.
