LF:

Hang in there. I don't even want to know how many patients I have seen with rotator cuff repairs over the past 10 years. I will be very surprised if my wife doesn't have to have the surgery one of these days. I'm not looking forward to that time. Nearly all of my patients with this type of surgery are really miserable for a month or so. The inablility to sleep comfortably is one of the most common complaints. In case you haven't already found out for yourself, sleeping in a recliner is usually more comfortable than sleeping on a bed. Your first few days in physical therapy won't be much fun, but at least your surgeon is allowing some healing time before starting therapy. We have a few surgeons that like to start therapy the day following surgery. It's a good thing you can cast left handed. I can cast with my left hand, but distance and accuracy are out the window when I do. Anyway, good luck and get well.
