WOW, ... I guess I have to re-vamp my perception of Brookies south of 49

Males ... yup, ... even early in the summer they start getting that marvelous orange in the lower flanks.

The females will also get color, but more "pink":


Nice to see it went back into the water too (even though, inho, Brookies ARE THE best tasting trout around ).
