Thread: 4-pound bluegill!

  1. #1

    Default 4-pound bluegill!

It might as well be, anyhow....

My first fish on a fly rod, as well as first fish on a fly I tied myself!!!
Here's a few more from the morning...

This was more of a morning for practicing casting before they stock the trout here, and it turned out to be a LOT of fun!

Congrats on the first fish on your own fly! The flies look good too. Why wait for the trout when those guys are in there. Nothing like catching fish on your own fllies. Keep at it you'll be ruined like the rest of us.

    Good luck,

    Gary

Welcome of the bright side of life. You have left the darkness and entered the light zone.
You will never be the same again. Next it will be building a rod.

    Hey, quivera!
If you are down in the Wichita area during trout season, give me a buzz. There is a stream in Sedgewick Cty park that has a fly fishing only designation on it during trout season. I'd take you down and show you around. Lots of fun!
