Just to let you know I am praying that everything turns out great and anything done about your body is your business, so do not be afraid to ask the doctor.
Love and best wishes.

LF: Someone already beat me to it, but as said previously....Your body IS YOUR business. Do as much research as you want and ask as many questions as you need to.
For anyone else reading this. If you have a doctor that won't answer all of your questions, and you get the "don't worry, dear, we'll take care of it" instead, it's time to look for another doctor. Quit thinking in terms of the old doctor knows everything / patient relationship. He's a provider and your a client. It not only helps YOU to know everything about your problem, it helps the doctor...but some still don't get it, or they just don't want to take the time as some just overbook. The more you know, the better protected you both are.

Well folks, I'm thinking he is addressing this to LF since she is the moderator of this forum .... considering her recent medical problems and article.
What do you say, aKidatHeart?
I believe you are correct on this ducky
I've got the big anatomy book out and when I go in for my check-up I will ask the surgeon to show me. I know, it really isn't any of my business, but I'm just really nosey.

LF,
As already stated, your body is your business. In fact, as it relates to your treatment, your doctor's business is yoru business.
My wife is an X-ray tech at a hospital, and let me assure you, contrary to what they may think of themselves, doctors are not gods. While providing care for you, they are wroking for you, you're the boss. There are a lot of doctors out there with their hands out and palms up who are eager to collect money from your insurance company.
You may have a great relationship with your doctor and the comment in your article could well have been in jest and I do hope and pray that to be the case. But if it was not and you're frustrated with the doctor, let him/her know of your frustration. If he/she is any kind of doctor at all, his/her primary concern will be that you are happy and comfortable with the treatment and that you have a good working relationship with the doctor and his/her office.

Hey EdD - so you're telling me that as a not-for-profit you're NOT "Duece Bigelow, Male Gigolo"?
