I don't think that you read my entire post. I am all for closing the streams or at least the thermal refuges when water temps get too high. We have fish stacking up at times every year. My point is that they are able to survive these warm water episodes so there is no reason to fish them out at these times. Fishing them out is a popular view shared in recent years by personnel of the DEC as well as the meat fishermen. I believe that they should be left to their own devices to survive the heat or not without any interference from the fishermen. I think that we are on the same page>
