The CFFA will be offering it's very popular Rod Building class again this year. This class is for anyone who would like to learn how to build their very own custom fly rod. During the six-week class, you will learn each step, hands-on, in the rod building process. From selecting blanks and components to how to coat wraps with epoxy and every step in between.

The class will be held at The Brewer House located at 167 Main Street in East Hartford, CT. The class will be on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on the following dates: October 4, October 18, October 25, November 1, November 8, November 15. Please try to be punctual as there will be a lot of information to cover. The cost of the class is still to be determined. There will also be the additional cost of materials for the class. Kits are available for less than $100.00 that include all the components for the rod, of course you could spend more if you like. Help in selecting your materials will be covered in the first class. Then, after a two week break, we will start right in learning the first steps to completing your rod.

As more information becomes available it will be posted here on our website - www.ctflyfish.org
in our Message Board. You do not have to be a member of CFFA to attend any of our education classes.
