    Default Connecticut River Migratory Fish Counts

    I found this interesting site the other day and I thought I would share it. It tracks the migratory fish entering the Connecticut River system.

    I guess last year, only 44 salmon returned but this year 178 have returned as of this date.

    True, add to this the fact that it was a very low shad count, the lowest in recent history. I think it is hard to know what to make of a single year's figures. I am glad that we have to figure out why the salmon count is up for a change.
