Hey, Guys--I picked up a hobby wrapped Boron II rod by Winston. The builder did a nice job on all the work except he was not happy with the way his wraps turned out and let the rod go for a song. The only problem with the wraps is they were a bit to long, I guess. When I removed some of the wraps, I noticed the thread he had used left grooves in the finish of the rod. Now I have the choice of going back with his original design, which I didn't like either, or finding some way of buffing the thread grooves out. Oh, by the way, the old wrap grooves extend about a sixteenth of an inch beyond where the wrap should terminate. Any idea on how to buff the surface, if it should be buffed at all?
