I'm thinking about giving chironomid lake fishing for trout a shot...always felt it sounded somewhat boring plus I have success other ways....

This article speaks to the boring issue....and I've read a little of Chan's stuff...

Do any of you have any words of wisdom and advice

What lines and leader set ups do you like?
My situation is...20' depth [surface water is pretty warm and at the 20' bottom it's about 60*]...the lake seems o have a lot of midge activity and I'm thinking that is the main food source....

Of course any killer pattern is appreciated....
