    hook: tiemco 100 size 8-14 or your favorite brand of dry fly hook
    thread: black
    tail: burnt orange hackle barbs
    body: black ostrich herl with a dark orange floss center band. reverse wrap with fine gold wire.
    wing: nicely barred coastal black tail deer body hair tied over the body
    hackle: died black tied on as a collar

    fire coachman

    hook: tiemco 100 size 10-16 or your favorite brand of dry fly hook
    thread: black
    wings: natural dark gray duck quill sections tied upright and divided
    tail: burnt orange hackle barbs
    body: black ostrich herl with a dark orange floss center band. reverse wrap with fine gold wire.
    hackle: died black tied on as a collar

    reference: page 141 of trout flies, volume 1 by terry hellekson

    substitute materials to tie the above patterns to look like the photos below
