With all the wet fly threads here lately, I've been spending a great deal of time at the bench. Every standard bobbin I have just twists in my hand with the small Peaersall's tying silk spools on them. While at my buddies fly shop the other day I asked about a Materelli midge bobbin. "Sorry, don't have any in stock right now, but try this." He hands me a Wasatch wood bobbin. It's a bit spendy, but is guarenteed for life, fits nicely in the hand, tension adjusts very nicely and it's made for the small Pearsall's bobbiins. I love it!!

Here's a link to the Wasatch site.

I have no part or interest in Wasatch tools other than being a satisfied customer.

Happy tying, Folks.
