when do u use fast sinking and fast sink tip?
when do u use fast sinking and fast sink tip?
sinking lines for when you want to go reallly deep and sink tips when you want to go to a certain depth
and dont rule out an intermediate line for part of the subsurface lines you can use
right but when do u need fast one that sink.
intermediate is nice to have,
most time store have fast on shelve slow or intermediate hidden on back.
I like the quad tip lines for my warm water fishing. 4 tips, floating, intermediate, slow sink and fast sink in one package! Each tip is 15ft and interchangable quickly while fishing. My 6 and 7 wt rigs are both set up with these. I fish mainly streams etc . . not much on lakes.

I use them steelheading quite a bit, in the faster, heavier flows, when I need to get the patterns down. I also use them on the trout streams and smallie rivers when i'm using unweighted flies and want to get them down quick.
in slow stuff you dont need a very fast sinking line uless youwant to go really deep and not wait
when deep fast sinking lines are at home is in a fast river
while a intermediate might be more suited to a lake
i see.
thanks
