Hi Ed,
Haven't used floatant on Deceivers or Clousers down here in the salt.
But when I'm in the NC mountains for trout, it's been pretty warm at times and the Cortland paste hasn't leaked out. I wouldn't let it sit all day on the dashboard, though.
Best,
Will
Thanks Will - I think I'm going to wait for the patented Bamboozle "trunk on a hot day" test on the Loon Payette Paste to see if it survives. I'll pick up some Dab as well, just in case. Cortland products have always been good to me.........Ed
Lotech.........
I still have 4 of the Gink containers which I guard jealously. They all have screw on lids. The snap on lids must have been the last generation of the paste.

Thanks all for the suggestions & recommendations.
With a heads-up from Heritage Angler about a supply of Loon Payette at the L.L. Bean store around the corner from me; I picked up some Payette yesterday.
I stuck it in a 200 degree oven for about an hour this morning and I can happily report that although it went from a opaque milky looking color to being clear; it only got softer but didn't liquefy. I assume it will go back to being opaque once it cools. So I guess it will work just fine for my application and probably WON'T melt in anyone's vest pocket.
I only wish I was clever enough to think of throwing some Tater Tots in the oven with the Payette.
Thanks again!
Just remember - Payette Paste is a substitute for Mucillin, and not Metamucil, and things will come out fine in the end.
