Wow, the articles I find every week in FAOL are always a bright spot for me. Joe Hyde's article about the pretty lake with the tight-lipped fish reminds me of my struggles with a small lake near me. I didn't realise the pressure on this small lake, but lately I've seen several boats and bank anglers every time I put my kayak in there.
Gig's article with all the pictures felt like a good taste of Aussie fishing.
I felt the chill of a dunking in Mikey's article & Neil Travis always strikes a chord in my sensibilities. (I'm refraining from mentioning all the excellent articles in the interest of brevity, not because I didn't love all the articles.)
Don't know how I survived before I found FAOL. Here I've found help with my fishing, fly tying and met some great folks. The whole experience I've had delving thru this FAOL site and getting acquainted with the members has been truly wondrous and memorable.
Thanks to JC & LF and all the contributors who make this a great fly fishing site and have helped this gimpy old man stay involved and interested in life.
