What Bridal Veil Falls looked like after last weeks storms. Spearfish Canyon
What the Falls usually looks like!
Incredible power of water! Moved many huge bolders down from the heights to the roadways.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.
Hi Betty, where is Spearfish Canyon please, Kansas?
Cheers,

HOLY COW - thats incredible! I've never seen it like that...what a torrent.
did any of the rock fall substantially change the flow of the creek? I still remember when those two BIG chunks dropped off the face and into the creek about halfway down 'tween Savoy and Spearfish.
Thank God for my wife, the midge nymph and those hapless Iowa Hawkeyes!
we have a waterfall just like that, 5 miles from our house. there is great fishing for the bulls over there. i love flyfishing near a waterfall, it feels a little bit more natural.

Hey Moose...Spearfish Canyon is in the Black Hills in the northern part...probably one of the most beautiful parts of the hills.
While it doesn't quite compare with some of the waterfalls along the Columbia out in your next of the woods, it does have some beautiful scenery.
They even filmed some scenes with "Dances with Wolves" out there as well...

Hello jimmadsen, thank you and I thought it was a particularly good looking falls...there's a 'Bridal Veil' falls in CA also...prolly others elsewhere. Yes, there are a lot of waterfalls all around me but I never get used to seeing them nor do I take them for granted. We have one here that we can walk behind. Really incredible. Thanks for the info Jim.

Betty,
Beautiful pics. Hope your trip went well. You are correct about the power of water. I've seen the normally peaceful Susquehanna River turn into a monster more than once.
Very nice Betty,
Thanks for sharing the pics, I love waterfalls!
