I'm planning a pilgrimage to this area after a 28 year absence. It was a vacation spot my parents used to bring us to, and I'd like my 13 year old son to see it. When I fished there as a kid, I was limited to fishing Lake Todd, where we stayed at Birch Lane Cottages. I remember trips to lake Sunapee and Lake Massasecum, but only for swimming -as Dad only fished saltwater. I'm sure it's alot different, and now that my son and I can flyfish, canoe and be more versatile, I wondered what other opportunities we should try to experience. I looked online and found Ruggles Mine and the Mt. Kearsage Indian Museum to check out as well. Any other area attractions anyone knows about would be great.... We would be going in mid July. Thanks for any info, Jim P.S. We will use spinning tackle when appropriate, if necessary...that might be part of "going back in time" theme. We might have a 17' center console available if need be, but I'd rather travel light and not tow the rig if its overkill...
